What do you do? I describe what I do as helping individuals, couples, and small groups to identify, prioritize, and act on their passions. What is your background? I have a very diverse professional background. I have over twenty years of experience as a business professional. Additionally I hold a masters degree in Counseling Psychology. I've studied as an MFT and was a therapist for a number of years. In addition, I have certifications and trainings in Personal Power with Tony Robbins, Dale Carnegie, Franklin Quest Seminars, NLP, Career Coaching, and the Forum. I've had wide aray of experiences and trainings which I can put to very good use supporting my clients. What does finding your passion mean? Finding your passion is tapping into what it is that really turns you on in this life. It's my belief that there are some core things that really compel us, really motivate us, to live. And, if we can tap into those ideas, those beliefs, we can live a life that is rich - even if we are not millionaires. We'll live a life that we can look back on with reverant pride, saying, "I really did it." That's what finding your passion is all about. What sort of folks come to see you? I like to say that anyone that is functional enough to get out of bed and go about their daily lives can benefit from this work. And, in many respects, that is not everyone. There are many people for whom this would be too provacative. But, people who are driven to the completion of tasks, who feel a sense of purpose in this life and understand that something, whatever it is, is compelling them to be here and make a go of "it" every single day. They just haven't quite identified what "it" is yet. Those are really the people that I can help. What is the difference between Life Coaching and Career Coaching Career coaching utilizes a specific set of personality inventories, tasks, and other tools to help you identify and pursue the "right" career for you. The outcome is very specifically designed to improve your professional options and outlook, resulting in work that has more meaning. Life Coaching is more broad and it is designed to help the individual set and achieve their own personal goals. |
